Welcome to Kookhausen!
Our first international guest is here and it is no other than one of my original surfing heroes: Robert „Wingnut“ Weaver. Of course you know Wingnut from Bruce Brown’s epic 1994 surf film The Endless Summer 2.
Wingnut was last seen commentating the ISA Longboarding Championship in El Salvador. There he ran into Philipp Kuretzky, former president of the German Surfing Association and an old friend of the podcast. He convinced Wingnut to get back in touch with his native town Cologne, Germany, where he was born in 1965.
Wingnut tells you why you should wait tables to make the world a better place, why Instagram is the only place for your 12 o’clock turns on a 9-foot-board and why he never travels with a board these days. And of course we play „Would you rather…?“ Enjoy!
